Charities

We at the Joseph C. Hansen Company strongly believe in charitable contributions, we support the charities that are important to our employees and our community. These are the organizations that we have chosen to support in the 2006-2007 season. Links are provided if you choose to join us in our contributions.

The nonprofit Yellowstone Association funds and provides educational products and services for Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Association is the National Park Service's primary partner in providing educational programs, exhibits, and publications for park visitors and has furnished $12.1 million in support for Yellowstone since its inception in 1933.

Founded in 1991 by Denise Roberts Hurlin and Hernando Cortez, DRA is a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation's leading industry-based AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization. The funds raised are distributed to seven programs of The Actors' Fund of America and as grants to over 400 AIDS and Family service organizations across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with HIV/AIDS.

The Third Annual Long Reach Long Riders Charity Motorcycle Ride we returned to Rapid City, South Dakota where we introduced familiar places to some of our new riders as well as visiting places new to all of us. We raised over $32,000 for our designated charities, Broadway Cares /Equity Fights AIDS and Behind the Scenes The Fourth Annual Long Reach Long Riders Charity Motorcycle Ride will take place July 29th - August 6, 2007. By popular demand, we've changed the format and no longer have two groups meeting somewhere in the middle of the country. We now have one group starting in one place and returning there 9 days later.

This organization was founded by three young breast cancer survivors in 1998. All under the age of 35 at diagnosis. The Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer.

It is our policy not to contribute to theatres or arts charities, as there are far too many worthy organizations that we work with on a daily basis, we support them all with fair pricing and good service.
